i'm not sure on recommendations but i always find somewhere nice just walking around in the evening & getting a feel for the place,
there's some lovely restaurants just waiting to be discovered.

there's been a couple of brighton restaurants on Gordon Ramsays show……….they look like a nice evening………one was Mama Sherrys
……..the other was Loves…….both firmly on the map nowadays.

depending on yr style of food and budget there are many restaurants in brighton to choose from, however, the best ones are always busy on a saturday night. the area u need to be looking in is the lanes where there are some nice places but can be pricey, for chinese there is Gars, or Ask which is a chain but the food is nice and i think they dont take bookings on a sat for 2 its a first come first served basis, but i may be wrong. going west, if u turn right soon after the big hotels, grand, metropole etc, then the road there Preston Street is lined with restaurants from takeaway to expensive. U could try China Garden if u like chinese or theres a big indian restaurant next door thats nice too, cant think of the name. otherwise i know u said u dont want beefeater but theres and Aberdeen Angus steakhouse up there which has just opened last week after a makeover and my other half went to and said it was nice. just depends as i say what ur looking for and budget. hope this has helped a bit but if u want any more advice u can email with moreinfo. hope u have a nice weekend

try the Prestonville arms for a great night of cheesy fun, Hamilton road. I should know I've been there LOL!!!

Head down towards the sea front and go on a bit of a bar crawl! There are so many fab places it would be hard to suggest just one. For really cheesy music head for Revenge (a gay but straight friendly club). Donnatellos in the laines has fab food at reasonable prices. The Honey club is very popular too.

I live in brighton and love it, its a brill place. recommendations – yatess is good, the honey club is right on the beach – good for everyone, restaurants theres a donatellos which is lovely and alfrescos which is on the beach that is good but a bit pricier than donatellos. brighton is brilliant have fun!

You will have a fantastic time. I went to Brighton on my hen weekend and it was fantastic. We went to a great Italian restaurant in the lanes but I cant remember what it was called but we also when to Mama Cherry's soul shack it was fantastic it was on of the restrains that was on Gorden Ramsey's Kitchen nightmares it was really good food and really reasonable in cost. The best place I found for good old cheesy music is the Junction club and its a little club that is under a hotel called the palace Pierre hotel. if you are standing at the pierre with your back to it the hotel is on the hotel is on the other side of the road to your left its a big green building. If you do go to mama cherry's you will need to book and soon as possible as it is very busy. Well have a great time wish I was going back I love Brighton. OH the Italian is called Donatello's not sure hoe it is spelt
